About the Position
​
Global Water Promise is currently hiring for the position of International Blog Writer for our website. The International Blog Writer will develop and maintain our online blogs specific to water, sanitation and hygiene issues in Ghana. Research and write articles in a conversational style, which engages readers. The International Blog Writer will also insure blog content captures readers' interest respective to water scarcity in Ghana while promoting company message. Use appropriate tools to provide management with metric reports. Use on-line and off-line social networking techniques for collaboration with people inside and outside the organization. Maintain quality assurance, by open information exchange with customer service and marketing departments. Promote company objectives with each blog article.

Essential Job Functions & Duties
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
​
We expect students to blog twice a week, but aren't interested in word counts. You can share brief stories, long stories, quick quotes, Instagram photos, professional shots taken with fancier cameras, videos, and so much more.
Develop and maintain plan for organization's Internet presence, based on management priorities, policy directions, and goals.
Perform continuous enhancements and modifications to blogs (Ghana).
Assess new standards, technologies and trends, and formulate plans for future enhancement to blogging strategies.
Competencies

​Knowledge of water related issues in Ghana.
Highly organized and persistent until tasks are fully completed either directly or through other relevant colleagues.
Motivation and ability to work efficiently and effectively with limited supervision.
Strong affiliation and appreciation to Global Water Promise's vision, mission and values.
A critical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
